Sparks Inn Assisted Living Facility
Our modern and comfortable retirement center is specially designed for individuals who value an independent lifestyle with easily accessible support. These residents enjoy three meals a day served in our dining room, housekeeping and linen service, and a wide range of special activities.

Sparks Inn has four floors with 176 private units, each with spacious baths. The resident's own furnishings make their apartments "home". Each unit has special features for comfort and security:

Dining:
The residents of Sparks Inn have a choice of four dining rooms. You can have breakfast in a dining room on your respective floor, and have lunch and dinner in the main dining room  .  Music, love, good conversation and fabulous food are served on a daily basis in all of our dining rooms.

Personal Care:
For those who need additional care to remain independent, optional assistance is provided for the following:

• Bathing
• Dressing and grooming
• Assistance to and from meals, or tray delivery/pick-up if resident is unable to eat in the dining room
• Medication assistance

Life Enrichment:
Our life enriching activities encourage socialization among the residents of Sparks Inn, and help the residents to thrive in every stage of their life.  We offer Bible classes, worship services , arts and crafts, entertainment, and many more stimulating activities.

Friendship Place 

Friendship Place is a 35-bed special care unit within Sparks Inn which provides a safe and secure environment for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's Disease or other memory impairments. As longtime leaders in memory-loss health services, we offer professional and compassionate care in Friendship Place. The supervisor of this specialty unit is certified in Alzheimer's care. Meals and laundry services are provided in the unit. Public funding (Medicaid/Medicare) is currently not available for Friendship Place.

Activities at Friendship Place
We offer a superb activity program on the unit, and the residents participate in other activities off of the unit with supervision. In addition to our daily activities, we have monthly outings such as lunch at a local restaurant or a picnic. We encourage our family members to participate in any of our programs as well.

Daycare / Respite
Friendship Place provides a daycare program seven days per week. This program includes three meals a day and snacks, activity programs and assistance with medications and personal care as needed. Our respite program is also available seven days per week. Residents in this program receive their meals, personal care, a furnished one-room suite, and participate in all activity programs during their short stay.

Respite Care

Our respite program provides temporary relief for caregivers and families who are caring for seniors with an acute or chronic illness.  This program also provides short term care to help families take a vacation, attend a business meeting or just take a break from their daily routine and stress.  In addition, the resident will receive assistance with personal care and ADL’s and will benefit from all of the amenities and services offered while receiving social stimulation from interacting with other residents.

Do You Qualify for Assisted Living?

So often families wait to consider assisted living until there is a crisis in the home.  We have a functional assessment tool available that, when it is completed by the family or our staff, can objectively determine on a point basis whether or not your loved one is ready for assisted living.  This tool is used by several communities across the country to assess the resident’s level of care prior to moving into an assisted living facility.
