This year's annual Golf Classic on October 19th at Eagle's Landing Country Club was fabulous! We had our largest turnout ever with 104 golfers! With the great weather we had, you could say there were only winners...but we do want to recognize all our tournament champions. Thank you to everyone for making the day wonderful and unforgettable as we raised money for the children at The Children's Village at Christian City!
This was our first "Tournament within a Tournament" so we're excited to announce all our winners -- expecially those in the new categories! Soon, we will be sending along another email with links to all the 4-some pictures we took so if any team wants to get a picture they can download it on the spot. Keep an eye out for that next week.
Church Traveling Trophy
We had 5 churches participating in the Church Traveling Trophy competition:
Bethany Christian Church (Carrollton), Hamilton Mill Christian Church (Buford), Lilburn Christian Church, First Christian Church of Mableton, and First Christian Church of Stockbridge. The foursome from First Christian Church of Mableton came away with our grand trophy! (see top picture) They earned a complimentary spot in our next event, $500 towards a charity of their choice, and the trophy to display and all the bragging rights til next time! Clint Parke, T.J. Rust, Butch Jackson, and Kevin Hodge ably represented First Christian Church of Mableton!
Way to go guys!
Corporate Competition and Open Competition
The foursome from Concrete Supply Company captured our corporate trophy AND took the general/open competition as well! Eleven Corporations fielded teams so the competition was brisk in both categories. The winners are pictured immediately below:
